Papagayo Fishing Charters
The Golfo de Papagayo and its coastline is at the center of a major tourism project developed by Costa Rica's government. In it several high end hotel chains, most notoriously the Four Seasons resort, and developers plan to turn this region into a model tourism center where environment and development can coexist. There is one thing left out in their project brochure which is that any and all development will be dependent on the excellent Papagayo fishing the region offers.
Among the most popular destinations in the Golfo de Papagayo are Ocotal Beach, Playas del Coco, Playa Hermosa and Playa Panama. The Peninsula de Papagayo is perhaps the most exclusive area in the gulf and where the Four Seasons is located. Additionally, Guanacaste Costa Rica Fishing in the gulf of Papagayo is recognized around the globe for its billfishing at hot spots like Bat Islands where you are subject to catch the marlin of your life, a big sailfish, or a yellowfin tuna that can swim fast as a torpedo and fight like a bull.

New anglers will now realize why veteran anglers make such a big deal over catching big fish. There is nothing else like it in the entire world.
NOTE: To ensure these species of billfish and bottom fish are always here for you and for future generations we practice catch and release. This is a fishing technique mostly for the many wonderful billfish species like Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, and even some Roosterfish although you are more than welcome to keep species like dolphin (dorado), yellowfin tuna, snapper, and other species.
Tuna, dorado, snapper, and other abundant species make for a fine fresh seafood meal that you can have cooked at a local restuarant for yourself and your party.
The best thing to do is just ask the Captain what you may keep, what is the best fish for the table. Your Captain or mate will help you clean the fish to get it ready for the dinner table.
We will pick you up by boat and for free from the Riu Guanacaste and from Paradisus Papagayo Bay in the gulf of Papagayo to be opened by July, 2013.
