When you finally arrive for your Costa Rica fishing trip you will be fishing on one of two boats. Either the Cormoran or the La Chila which are both equally fine Costa Rica fishing boats. Both boats are very sea worthy, comfortable, really fast, and are loaded with all the latest electronic fishing and safety gear to ensure your party's or family's complete safety while you fish in comfort.

Each boat can comfortably fish up to 4 anglers or riders. Our boats feature a fly bridge, deep "V" hull and can cruise at what is considered high speeds on the water which means you can get to the various Costa Rica fishing grounds in very quick fashion which is very important.

Costa Rica fishing trips include ::

Papagayo Fishing Boat - The Mono.

Our Mono boat is an unsinkable Boston Whaler, 30ft, powered by twin 225hp Four Stroke Yamaha and big enough for 4 people. This boat cruising speed at 25knots and max of 45knots. Include all fishing equipment (Shimano and Penn International tackle, GPS, fishfinder). Captain: Jesus Mendez with more than 25 years fishing in these waters has large experience as sportfisherman in Tamarindo and Papagayo.

Costa Rica Fishing Boat - The La Chila G.

This is the La Chila G which is a large 33 feet in length that will fish 4 sportfishermen in total comfort and safety. Loaded with all approved safety gear and equipment for your crews safety the La Chila also has top of the line fishing equipment.

The La Chila G is stocked with all the best brand name fishing gear and tackle with names like Shimano and Penn, the two top names in the sportfishing industry.

Costa Rica Fishing Boat - The Cormoran.

This is the Costa Rica fishing boat the Cormoran which is very similar to the La Chila G. The Cormoran is a large Tamarindo fishing boat that is 32 feet in overall length and also fishes up to 4 sportfishermen. This is the Costa Rica fishing boat the Sea-Snake which is 25 feet in lenght and powered by Suzuki 140hp and inshore capable only. This boat is a perfect choice for your Papagayo inshore fishing charter, a Witch's Rock surf charter or to enjoy our fantastic Papagayo snorkelin trips, this boat fishes up to 3 sportfishermen. We will pick you up by boat and for free from the hotel Riu Guanacaste and from Paradisus Papagayo Bay in the gulf of Papagayo to be opened by July, 2013.

Charter Fishing Gear You Should Bring for a Costa Rica Fishing Trip.

Bring a cooler for food and drinks. Ask your Costa Rica charter boat Captain how large of a cooler you may bring on the boat.	A sports bag is a good idea to bring for carrying your rain gear, hat, glasses etc and other personal items that you need on a Costa Rica charter fishing trip.
Bring all your food and drinks.You may bring beer if you like. Some snacks and beverages will be provided.	If you will be fishing in foul or rainy weather then you may want to bring some gear to keep you dry. Not as important on boats with covers.
Bring sun glasses. Preferrably polarized fishing glasses to lessen the sun's glare that reflects up off the water.	Bring a camera to take snapshots of those big fish or bring a video camera to capture the beauty of Costa Rica sportfishing.
A hat or ball cap is a good idea, especially for you guys that are getting a bit thin on top. Protect your head from the sun's burning rays.	If you get sea sick or aren't sure if you get sea sick then it is a very wise idea to take your Dramamine before you leave the dock. Nothing can ruin a fishing trip worse than a guy named "RALPH".
The Costa Rica fishing region can get very hot, after all this is the equator. Make sure you bring sunscreen, especially if you easily burn. If you are burnt up you can't enjoy your Costa Rica charter fishing trip.	You probably already paid for the trip but you should make sure you have some cash in pocket so you can tip the First Mate. Being Mate on a charter boat is not easy work and these guys deserve every dime they get. Tip them well!
